Dr. Melvin Wright Sr.

I provided photography coverage for the City of Jackson’s street naming and dedication ceremony honoring Dr. Melvin Wright Sr., a respected dentist and community leader who served the Jackson community for more than 50 years.

Held on March 25, 2026, the ceremony commemorated the renaming of a portion of Hays Avenue between Lexington Avenue and College Street in recognition of Dr. Wright’s legacy and impact on the East Jackson community.

My role focused on capturing key moments throughout the event, including the official sign unveiling, community attendance, leadership presence, and interactions between family members, city officials, and attendees. The photography was intended to help preserve and document an important moment in local history while providing visual assets for community storytelling and media use.
